It is our great pleasure to welcome Bronwyn Ritchie to the new position of Consultant Inclusive Practices based in Alice Springs. We are thrilled to introduce Bronny, as she is also known, and acknowledge the wealth of experience she brings to our team.

After beginning her teaching career in South Australia, Bronny moved to Alice Springs where she taught at Living Waters Lutheran School for over 10 years. She joined the Student Services team as a Disability Advisor in 2011 and added Early Childhood Intervention to this role in 2014.  Highly respected for her work supporting staff to include students with additional needs/disability, Bronny’s experience extends from birth through to year 12 across Government, Independent and Catholic schools in both urban and remote Alice Springs region.

One of the founding participants of OLT in the NT, Bronny completed her first course, Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2011. She has since completed the Introduction to Special Education Needs, Speech Language and Communication Needs, Understanding and Managing Behaviour, and Understanding Dyslexia and Significant Difficulties in Reading courses.

Bronny has gone on to tutor a total of 8 cohorts in 3 courses - Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder, Introduction to Special Education Needs and Understanding Dyslexia and Significant Difficulties in Reading – assisting 65 participants to successfully complete their courses. Currently Bronny is participating in the inaugural Understanding Hearing Loss course.

OLT participants and Tutors alike will benefit from Bronny’s passion for furthering professional learning amongst all school staff in the area of inclusive education.

Congratulations and a BIG Welcome!
